Music is my main language of expression, and one of the ways I connect to the spiritual world. I started playing the violin when I was two and a half years old. I learned music almost entirely through listening and reproducing what I heard, using the Suzuki method, which in some ways imitates how a young child learns to speak: first by listening, feeling and repeating, long before learning how to read or write. When I was eight, I switched to piano. I was drawn to the freedom of being able to discover harmonies on my own. I also stubbornly refused to learn how to read notes. Instead, I kept developing my own way of relating to music — much more like a spoken language than a written one. For me, music was never something that should simply be reproduced. It needed to live, change and transform. It had to come from within and be created in the moment, much like a conversation: unscripted, imperfect, and shaped by whatever wants to come out at that particular moment. Over time, I started calling this the **Inner Song Method**. I believe most of us have music somewhere inside us. We hear it, feel it, hum it, move with it. But many of us never really get the chance to express it through our voice or an instrument. Somewhere along the way, shame, comparison and self-judgment can get in the way. Expressing music can feel deeply vulnerable. When you create something in the moment, there is nowhere to hide. There is no score to blame and no “correct” version to fall back on. Something personal becomes audible. And I think that is not a reason to fear it. It might actually be exactly where its power comes from.
